Collected Wisdom: Logitech G7 Batteries L-LL11

I'm starting a new thing on my blog I'm calling "Collected Wisdom." There are often times where I scour the internet looking for the answer to a question and it takes me forever to find the one place that it is. When that happens, I am going to blog it so that it is easier for others to find the next time. I'm going to write in a style that is most searchable, so bear with me. So here goes the first one.

I have a Logitech G7 gaming mouse. The battery life is very short before needing a recharge. I am recharging it every day. I want a new replacement battery for the stock one which is number L-LL11. Unfortunately Logitech does not sell them. What you have to do is return the one you have under warranty and they will replace the whole thing. There is a known issue with the battery life in the first generation of this mouse (the one with a plastic base). The best thing to do is to call Logitech at 702-269-3457. There is no 800 number. From what I can tell, this is either a smooth process or a horrible one. But it helps to call and not to use their online return system.

More information is here.

I too have a G7 and am experiencing short battery life. I called the number above, and within a few minutes the friendly client service rep shipped me a new mouse. I love Logitech.

By the way, here's the new customer support number for Logitech:
