So what did you think of the Gates? Was it worth all the hype? I thought it was fun since we didn't pay for it. I was much less impressed by the "art" than the event of getting so many New Yorkers in the park in February. Most of the beauty and power came from the park itself - but I guess it worked.

Jill Scott is a Goddess

We saw her last night at Radio City and she is phenomenal. Every note, move, visual, is perfect. She brings a completely new dimension to the songs even if you have heard them a million times on the album.

Absolutely incredible.

FreshDirect is late again

When it started out it was the best thing ever. Now I am waiting for them to arrive late the second weekend in a row. What good is a 2 hour window for delivery if they can't make it? It's messing up another Saturday.

Anyone else notice a degradation in service?

Welcome (Back) to EleVate Yourself

Welcome to the home of EleVate Yourself, the original WebJockey^TM site on the web. I created this site in 1996 as "my outpost of defense against the onslaught of kewl, goth, catlover (i.e BORING) personal websites. This is NOT a political, philosphical, ideological or other kind of statement where I bare my soul to you. It's just a stream of consciousness representation of the things I find online that amuse, shock, or otherwise cause a reaction."

In other words, it was a blog before blogging. I let it fall by the wayside due to a lack of time to update it, etc. But now I am reviving it to use the great tools available today and rejoin the blogging revolution. I promise that my ramblings and ruminations will be much more frequent.

As I said then "stop by any time you need a break from the day to day, because we all need a little EleVation from time to time"
